Information you choose to provide

When you request a review, complete an assessment, schedule a conversation, or contact us, you may provide your name, contact information, business details, scheduling preferences, and a general description of the tax, accounting, or planning work you want to discuss.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, bank or account numbers, passwords, copies of tax returns, or other sensitive documents through general website forms or email. We will provide an appropriate secure method when records are needed.

Information collected to operate the website

The site and its service providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring website, campaign parameters, and security or diagnostic records. Essential cookies or similar storage may be used to preserve an assessment draft, protect forms from abuse, maintain an authorized staff session, or manage a confirmed appointment.

Measurement and analytics

We may use limited first-party measurement and Google Analytics to understand which public pages are used and whether visitors complete steps such as requesting an assessment or confirming a booking. Analytics is configured to use page paths and event names—not assessment answers, names, email addresses, tax information, booking identifiers, or uploaded records.

Analytics settings may place or read a browser identifier. You can limit cookies in your browser settings. Blocking nonessential storage may reduce measurement without preventing you from reading the public site.

How information is used

  • Respond to requests and determine whether Anchor Tax may be a suitable fit.
  • Prepare for, schedule, and manage requested conversations.
  • Protect the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable records.
  • Understand aggregate website and referral performance.
  • Meet professional, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Google user data

Anchor Tax team members may connect their own Google account so the website can offer appointment times. With that permission, the site reads the list of the team member’s calendars and their free/busy status to find open times, and creates, updates, or cancels the appointment events it schedules on that calendar, including the Google Meet link and invitation. Where enabled, it may also send appointment emails from that account. It does not read the contents of other calendar events, email, contacts, or files.

Google user data is used only to provide scheduling, is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not shared except with the service providers needed to run scheduling or as required by law. Access tokens are stored encrypted or held by our authentication provider. A team member can disconnect at any time from the scheduling page or from their Google Account permissions, and we will delete the stored connection on request.

Anchor Tax’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers and disclosure

We use service providers for website hosting, database infrastructure, staff authentication, email delivery, scheduling, and related business operations. They may process information only as needed to provide those services or meet their own legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or provide it to third parties for their independent direct marketing.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or complete a business transition with appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, professional recordkeeping, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we use administrative and technical safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access and unnecessary collection.
